Third time is the charm? Aamir Khan set to marry Gauri Spratt on July 5
July 5 is the date, Aamir Khan's Mumbai home is the venue, and "registered marriage" is the vibe, because even his wedding has no unnecessary production value.
Vir Das steps into the shoes of an overconfident, underqualified spy in ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, a satire backed by Aamir Khan Productions. The trailer promises chaos, meta humour, and Goa-set madness as a “khatarnak” agent fumbles his way through an impossible mission.

Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos (2026) trailer: Happy Patel is the protagonist of the upcoming satirical spy-comedy ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, portrayed and directed by Emmy-winning comedian Vir Das, and from the very first frame, the film makes it clear that this is not your usual spy story.
Far removed from the polished charm of James Bond, Happy is a self-declared “khatarnak detective” whose confidence far outweighs his competence.

Case in point: a man who failed the MI7 entrance exam seven times, once because he managed to assemble a sniper rifle but forgot to add the trigger. Naturally, this does not stop him from believing he is elite. “Mere paas information hai,” he declares with authority, only to be asked, “Kaise type ka information?” To this he proudly replies, “Informative type ka information hai.”

A chef-turned-wannabe international agent, Happy is sent on a top-secret mission to India to “blend in,” despite being hilariously disconnected from the country. His idea of blending in involves standing on top of a car yelling “Gaonwaloooonnn!” only for a baffled passerby to snap back, “Are you mad or what? This is Goa, man.”
With a heavy anglicised accent, a Bob Dylan inspired hairstyle, and the confidence, Happy stumbles through Goa as the ultimate fish-out-of-water. At one point, he casually tells a stranger, “Hello, main aapke andar hoon,” a line that feels less like a spy tactic and more like Vir Das announcing that Happy Patel, and perhaps Vir himself is now permanently living rent-free in our heads.
Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the film marks Vir Das’s directorial debut and leans hard into meta-humour and chaos. The plot throws Happy into wild escapades involving the Goa police, a vamp named Mama (Mona Singh), and an unexpected romance with Mithila Palkar.
Even physical pain becomes gold punchline, after dramatically falling to the ground, Happy solemnly announces, “Meri reed ki haddi ka… g**d phata hua hai,” delivered in that unmistakable accent.
With a cameo by Aamir Khan and the much-awaited return of Imran Khan after a decade, making it another iconic reunion of both the Khans and Das, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’, set to release on January 16, 2026, already feels like the spy parody Bollywood didn’t know it desperately needed.
